С аэрографом я пытаюсь подружиться. Не победить, не укротить - именно подружиться. А дружба - это обоюдные уступки: он терпит моё неумение, я пытаюсь приноровиться. И каждый раз выходит всё лучше. Третий стиляга давался тяжелее всех. Часть краски улетела в потолок, часть осела на мне. В какой-то момент стало ясно: этот лист не идёт. Я перевернула картон и начала на обороте - и вот эта работа, та что Вы видите. Синий и чёрный, вихревые мазки, точки-кляксы по полю, потёки вниз - аэрограф здесь уже не только слушается, он разговаривает. Симметрия тут другая, более свободная, чем в первых двух. Смотришь и видишь то морду зверя с усами, то маску, то что-то с крыльями. Голубые треугольники - как знаки предупреждения или как украшения, я сама не решила. На обороте - та первая, начатая и брошенная. Я её не покажу. Friendship means mutual concessions: it puts up with my inexperience, I try to find the rhythm. Each time it gets a little better. The third Hipster was the hardest. Some of the paint went to the ceiling, some landed on me. At some point it was clear the sheet wasn't working. I turned the cardboard over and started on the back - and this is that work. Blue and black, sweeping strokes, ink blots scattered across the surface, runs of paint dropping down - the airbrush here isn't just obeying, it's talking back. The symmetry is looser than in the first two. You look and see a beast's face with whiskers, then a mask, then something with wings. The blue triangles read as warning signs, or as ornaments - I haven't decided. On the reverse is the first attempt, the one I abandoned. I won't show it.
