Работа сделана под впечатлением от просмотра фильма "Москва слезам не верит", хотя в это сложно поверить. В фильме больше всего меня зацепило сочетание искренности и вранья. Люди в СССР жили двойственно - подчинялись законам, которые не могли изменить, впитывали правила и социальные установки, которые не подвергали критике. Я застала кусочек того времени и помню этот театр. Мне, как ребенку, это было страшно и смешно одновременно.
В таком ключе я и построила эту серию работ. Она про искренность и ложь, по большому счету.

The work was made under the impression of watching the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears", although it is hard to believe. In the film, what struck me most was the combination of sincerity and lies. People in the USSR lived in duality - they obeyed laws that they could not change, absorbed rules and social attitudes that they did not criticize. I caught a piece of that time and remember this theater. For me, as a child, it was scary and funny at the same time.
In this vein, I built this series of works. It is about sincerity and lies, by and large.
